I just bought the S Charger Pad on impulse for about R330 and I see it has fairly mixed reviews. Anyone have one and how is it working for you?

When will Samsung SA update the S5 in SA! Becoming ridiculous! Any links to easy, step by step (total noob) guide to flash and load Roms? And what's the best to get?

You have to root first and risk losing warranty. And then you can flash anything you wish (that is compatible with your phone). Or simply had over to sammobile and get a firmware you want. The instructions are there on the site where you download the firmware.

Thanks for the tip. I went over to that page, and they all have 4.4.2. So it seems its not just SA that's delayed. Great pity

I changed my official Vodacom ROM to the UK BTU ROM, as the Vodacom ROM is seriously bloated.

We should get the Lollipop update quicker than the rest of South Africa....let's see. ;)

No one go one? Well I've been using for a few days now and am quite pleased with the thing overall.

The main driver for purchase was not having to open the little flap all the time because I'm quite paranoid about it after AstroTurf's repairs, and of course the convenience of bit being tied to a cable.

So as an overnight charger, I'm overall satisfied with the performance. It seems to reach 100% then shut off, so when the phone drops down a % or 2 and I'm still sleeping, it for some reason flashes an orange light and you have to lift and replace so the light goes green to say it's charging again.

But that's OK as a trade off. I usually wake in the night at some time so I just just take it off the pad and go back to sleep. Awoke this morning with the phone beside the pad and on 98% which I'm quite happy to start the day with.

So a big thumbs up from me and well worth R330 for convenience and coolness alone :)

When I changed my phone to the Note 4, my S5 went to the wife. Within 5 days the flap broke off. I was soooo pissed off.

In fact, will this Poland version work flawlessly in South Africa?

Yes, its the international version KLTE. Will work fine here. I'm downloading it now myself. I have been running the unofficial CM12 (alpha) which is pretty damn rock solid!
