And G4 is a grand more for cash. Add in 24 months insurance you are paying over R4k more over 2 years.

No thanks. I don't game so the S5 is perfect for my needs
 
Quick question. I bought an S5 from kalahari last year, and now my volume rocker doesn't work properly anymore. Do I send it back to takealot, since it's still in warranty, or do I just live with it?

Takealot or samsung directly.
 
So I have the G900H variant of the S5 and today for no good reason, mobile data doesn't seem to work.If I disable wifi and activate my mobile data, the symbol on the notification bar for data incoming and outgoing (The H with two arrows) never appears and I don't receive whatsapp messages and things of that nature. Has anyone had this problem before and knows how to fix it... Help would be greatly appreciated!

How long have you had your s5? Also what happen with a diffrent sim?

If its more than 2 years i can tell you why,
If still under warrenty, time to use it!!!!

S5 launch was less than 2yrs ago so all will still be under warranty (excluding cancelled warranty phones for whatever reason.

Right now, you can't buy a new S5 for less than that Takealot deal
 
Guys, register your S5's ADH. I was lucky and it was registered by Samsung after my screen cracked.



The famous question: "Sir, did you register for ADH?"

My answer: "YEs, I broke the seal and opened to box." Waiting for the chance to throw the CPA in their face, it never happened. All went extremely smooth and I am awaiting the repair results from Samsung.

FYI,

I've tried Cyanogenmod for the first time on my S5 (had it previously on Note 2 and S2 before that). USed it for 3 days now, and decided to go back to a Samsung based ROM. I just miss too many Touchwiz features.

Currently using Omega ROM. So far so good

Hi all

My wife is getting a S5 today, after she was robbed of her S4.

Is it advisable to upgrade to Lollipop or stay on with Kitkat? I heard there's battery drain problem with Lollipop.
