It updates several things I use and like to update including my gear 2 so I leave it on but I set it to only notify and not automatically download updates.

Just tap the Recent Apps button (old menu button bottom left), and then on the little pie icon at the bottom.

My ram usage high. Disabled most programs so 153 ram came down but still high. What is average ram availability and what more can I kill off.

I'm running at 1.54ish/1.81GB

Smooth as a baby's bottom. I don't think RAM is your issue. Maybe you should try and do a factory reset and start from scratch.

yep. that's how it rolls. your problem is elsewhere.

maybe you have some crappy apps somewhere... don't know why it will lag. I've had lots and lots of stuff running and it never lagged. strange actually.

internet speed shouldn't affect lag of any kind on the phone. unless you are experiencing "lag" when things are downloading.

only time i experience lag, is when apps are busy downloading and installing in the background, then i get a bit of lag.

No - Android fills up RAM to run faster. It's very different to how Windows works. Freeing up RAM actually slows your phone down.

Correct, however when it starts overflowing in to the swop that's when you have massive problems.
