Samsung Galaxy S5 leaks ahead of official announcement


It’s 2014, and everything leaks! Today, Samsung will be announcing its next flagship device, the Galaxy S5. Samsung usually gives early access to their upcoming devices to some technology publications, which allows them to prepare their articles on the upcoming products beforehand. Same thing happened with the Galaxy S5. Yesterday at the Tizen event, Samsung showcased their new Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo wearables along with the Galaxy S5 to the tech journalists. However, Pocketlint accidentally published their hands-on article of the Galaxy S5 10 hours before the actual announcement. From the article we were able to obtain pictures of the device, which showcases its design language, and the new upcoming features.
Samsung Galaxy S5 packs a 16 Megapixel camera, which can auto-focus and capture a picture in only 0.3 seconds, can shoot 4K video at 30FPS, features new camera modes: Selective Focus, HDR Live and more. Fingerprint sensor is present on the home button, which can be used with PayPal to authorise payments for items within the browser. Samsung has made its latest flagship IP67 Dust and Water Resistant, as well. Pocketlint has also reported that the Galaxy S5 sports a “Ultra Clear Super AMOLED 5-inch 1920×1080 resolution” display.
