Samsung Galaxy S5

Haha... I know our phones are water resistant, but I am not willing to dunk it.

Lol, after watching videos of someone in Durbs taking video in the sea I really don't care any more. No more sticky screen :)

In Durbs it's safer to take videos in the sea than on land, less chance to get mugged.

Especially a gold S5!!

Lol look at the edges of the phone. Let your ocd take control, those specks of dust need not be there. Rince then off under slow moving water and while you are at it a bit of sunlight gets it sparkly :) if something goes wrong, adh.

Hi People. I'm new to the MyBroadband community and would like to introduce myself.

I'm Dominic, 22 years old and have a passion for technology. I've been on the DStv Forum since 2008.

I wanna ask your opinion here. My Galaxy S5 have suddenly popped up this message "CAMERA FAILED" when I wanna use the camera on any app, the only way of fixing it is by rebooting the device.

So must I give it in at Vodacom or at Samsung for the best results?

Samsung will be best, organise it through their chat support on samsungmobile.co.za

Have you tried a factory reset?

No I haven't. Scared it doesn't work and then I have all my stuff lost anyways. I have moved all my apps to the SD card, will they stay there and still be able to run after reset?

No you wont.

Backup the phone to a pc with kies then try a reset and if that fails send it in.

If you send in without backup chnces are you lose it all anyway.

Like Astro said, you will have to do a backup in any case. Moving apps to the SD won't work.

I once installed a third-party camera app that broke my camera that way, a factory reset sorted it out.

That's true. Thanks for your help guys. Will go try that tonight. Better if I can try that, because Samsung is an hour away from the south coast
