Samsung Galaxy S6

However, Samsung have conveniently added an option to auto restart your phone at any time + day of your choosing. Which means you don't have to manually reset weekly now. Its nothing huge, but is one less thing for me to worry about.

I updated yesterday, but can't for the life of me find this setting - mind pointing out where it is? Thanks.
[EDIT - found it. Backup & Reset menu, Auto restart.]

Sorry, should have mentioned it in my original post.

Its also had a quad core, a 1080p display and a bigger battery.
Vs octocore, 2k screen and 2600mah battery.

The optimization is insane. I'm hitting better hours on my s6 than the G4, which has a 3000mah battery.

I reiterate, its not amazing, but its better than it many of the other phones that recently came out.

However you knew what you were walking into buying the phone.. so.

When a phone is supposed to be the best phone and costs upwards of 10k I expect half decent battery life

This is the worst I have seen in a long time

Make a bloody bigger battery then

I have to be honest... since I got my G4, I don't even use my car charger anymore... to be honest, I don't even use the extra battery I got with the phone...

One doesn't realize how schit the battery life, until you have something decent... or worse... to compare it with.

The S6 to me was decent, not great, but workable.

Coming from a S4 I find the S6 batter life good.
I am not rooted, and an average user - whatsapp, FB, internet, calls, videos.
Not really into gaming on the phone.
I charge once a day

mine is on 40% when i get home at 5pm

Not too bad but not great either

that's because the S4 was crap

I get home with my G4 with about 75%, and also got home without about 40% on the S6 if I didn't interfere with a charger.

And that's with Bluetooth always on and connected to my Moto 360

I agree. S4 was crap.
Best thing I like about S6 is that it is very snappy. No lag.
Same with camera.....snappy.

I said from day one this batter is fcking useless.

Hence why I prefer the gobii

Then you can't be using it a lot.
I use what's app a lot for work related stuff.
By 11am my phone is less than 50 percent

well Screen on time is 2H 10min when I get home, so i do use it.
I use what's app on the web - if that is of any help

My S6 battery is no worse than the S4 i had. Is that good or bad, i get through the day every easily and 30%+ left at night when i plug in

But the S5 was much better than both.
How can apple seem to sort out the battery issues but everyone else can't ??

Apple's software is optimized for the device. Android manufacturers just keep pushing for high spec hardware while ignoring the software component that makes up a phone. Then you get Samsung who goes and dump their bloatware on top of Android.

All the manufacturers do that.

Except for the Nexus devices - but some may argue that the Google Apps are bloatware as well.

Samsung bloatware = 20% extra load on your device. Just go have a look how much CRAP is always running in the background

Really doesn't bother me.

For my usage I get good battery life out of my S6 - a lot better than I got out of my S4.

So I'm happy.
