I got an OTA update on MTN yesterday, my FW version is 5.1.1.

Quite easily on my S6 Edge.

The battery life is definitely not as bad as many have made it out to be

How? Mine lasts a full day with about 25% before going to bed...

Look I do a lot of work from 6am on whatsapp. It's work stuff. By 11am it's on out 30 percent. Don't know and my battery saver is on all the time

S6 also OTA updated to 5.1.1 on MTN but the device gets very hot when downloading etc. +- 32 deg C according to some apps.

Using HSDPA and not WiFi surely? Still not that hot though, so wouldn't worry about it. And it definitely didn't do it before the update?

Using HSDPA but was very hot to touch and makes it uncomfortable to hold, not as hot before could atleast hold it. Note4 did the same after the update.

Put a screen protector or tempered glass thingy on the camera lens. Erica Griffin says the glass on camera is prone to scratches and easily damaged.
