How do I share a video to Instagram that I have recorded in the slow motion mode and then get it to play on slow motion on Instagram.

I have a powerbank but looking at adding capacity on the phone itself. Takealot has one for 899 or so

The S6 is an enclosed unit so I assumed he meant cover

He meant an extended battery case, which isn't a bad idea actually.

I'm still very happy with my S6 and my contract renewal isn't until next year, with Marshmallow and a extended battery it will be like a new phone.

yep, just find it not lasting enough, an extra 3500mah "built in" would be nice...

I won't use it unless it has a cover for the screen like UAG has

S6 Edge cases and screen protectors

Hey guys

Had my S6 Edge (Black Sapphire colour) for about a month now and generally very happy with it.
Just my R0.02 worth on the subject of case and screen protectors ...

As regards the case : I prefer my phone to be open (ie no flip-top cover) for quick access, though of course that does carry a risk of screen breakage if the phone is dropped on its face. I'm using the iLuv "Vyneer" case that is made of impact-absorbent plastic and fairly minimalist : it provides a solid back cover and a "bump guard" around all sides. The sides have just enough of a raised lip on the top and bottom edges (I'd say about 0.5mm) to prevent the screen from touching (and breaking) if it were to fall flat on its face. Likewise on the back, the thickness is sufficient to provide a small clearance to stop the camera lens touching a desk surface.
With this case, the biggest remaining risk is if the phone falls screen-down onto something solid (like a stone), which is a fairly low probability, I think.
These cases are reasonably priced (about R250 retail) and they're available in clear or black.

As regards screen protectors : Yup, the S6 Edge is a challenge to protect.
My partner and I both got S6 Edges (different colours) and we'd heard that the plain plastic protectors tend to lift off the curved edges, so we went with the (expensive) tempered glass types. We bought two different brands : she went with a Muvit and I went with an Energizer "HardCase". Mistake in both cases.

The problems we have found are as follows :

  1. Price : The screen cover has to made of very thin tempered glass, which is a trick in itself (read : expensive). If that weren't enough, they now have to make it precisely curved AND tempered (read : more expensive). Both the Muvit and the Energizer "HardCase" retail for about R400.
  2. Aesthetics : For some reason, they don't make these covers out of completely clear glass, the top and bottom sections are "colour-coded" to the phone (black and gold, in our case). Part of the appeal of the "black" S6 is that beautiful sapphire-black colour on the front, and these protectors cover it up. Black, white, and gold colour-coded protectors tend to look a bit tacky for this reason, IMHO.
  3. Depending on the type of case you buy, the case edges can sometimes press quite tightly against the left and right sides of the phone and hence on the glass screen protector edges. This can put a "squeeze" force on the glass screen protector, causing it to curve upwards (ie lift) and/or crack. We haven't had this issue with the iLuv case, though.
  4. On both types of protector, the curvature of the screen protector edges doesn't precisely match that of the phone screen edges, so the touch sensitivity is slightly reduced where the protector is not sitting flat on the screen. You can feel (and hear) the slight "tick" noise when you press in those areas. This also tends to give you slight "dead spots" on the screen, usually exactly over the curved edges. Big downer, especially when typing.
  5. As a side effect of the curvature mismatch and the protector not sitting 100% flat on the screen, the screen protector flexes very slightly when you push in those areas, which in turn means ... the tempered glass eventually cracks, usually along or close to the curved edges. You can see this in the (crummy) pic below. Both of our glass screen protectors are doing this, the Muvit after a week or two and my Energizer HardCase after about a month.

So ... Your mileage may vary, but for now I'd recommend waiting for a better glass screen protector, going with a plastic one, or (*gasp*) going naked.
