hi . i want to update my s6 g920f to marshmallow can any1 help ?? tnxx..

Regarding the Marshmallow update - its been more than a month since it was released for the S6 in other countries. Does anyone know what tweaks the SA networks are carrying out that are delaying the local Marshmallow release? Surely it's the same software and it should not take that long?

Just download off sammobile.com and update yourself.

Networks delay it in order to push people to buy S7's

I did the btu firmware ,no problems so far ,very little bloat and also received an ota update.
See no reason to wait for local release, you might wait very long.

Found my email, mine expired 3 days ago...

Realised I should check this last week as I was planning on claiming on this ADH knowing it is only valid for a year. When having a look at my app, it indicated it expired but when having another look at my POP I purchased it on 17 April 2015. Called the customer care and e-mailed through my POP and they sorted the status.

Took it to Samsung Repair Centre in Rivonia Saturday 16 April 2016. One day before it would expire as I have a crack on the back and my screen is somehow starting to peel (I'm not sure how this occurred). Anyway they are repairing it, therefore will have a phone looking as good as new.

Some feedback - got a copy of my purchase receipt from the vodashop where I got my contract and phone, sent it to SSS and they fixed it no problem. So glad to have the S6 back!

I recently traded my note 4 for an S6. Not getting the greatest battery life - around 2 hours SOT. Anyone else having problems?

I was getting about 4 hours. The Note battery is much better though so if you got 4 hours on that, you will get less on the S6

4 hours would be great. I suppose it would be less than the note, but surely around 2 hours screen on time is rather low?

Just download off sammobile.com and update yourself.

The only Marshmallow 6.0.1 I can find on SamMobile is for XFE.
What is the difference between XFE and XFA?

I have noticed that CellC and FNB have XFA software, while Vodacom is XFV and MTN is XFM.

They are just region identifiers. You ca flash any region's ROM from anywhere in the world as long as it's for your device. i.e. 920F

Thanks.

I noticed that the PDA and CSC numbers aren't the same.
Will that make a difference?

My current PDA one is G920FXXU3QOLB
New version PDA is G920FXXS3DPD5

Nope - they're just build numbers.

I've run the Indian, Arabic, UK, ZA and Polish ROM's among others. You even get OTA's. There is no risk.

I'm now getting the 4 hours SOT I was looking for. Disabled a few things with package Disabler pro, and stopped sync with most things, and I suppose it needed to settle in for a while. Very happy with this phone now :)
