Im contemplating getting a S6, but pretty sure my Iphone5s has better battery life that this, surely 4 hours cant be right?
4hrs of screen on time. I have around 30-40% after a full days usage. Sometimes less if i play a lot of games or use navigation.

Hi ,is there anybody else that has this lockscreen when fast charging. I can't seem to pinpoint the app that is causing it.

I haven't installed any apps in a while and running official BTU 6.0 firmware .

Fixed: Was ES file Explorer after an update.

What are you guys doing to get 4 hours of screen on time on your S6? Are you on Marshmallow? I'm going to download the South African ROM from Sammobile, I'm tired of waiting for them to roll it out OTA. I have my phone on 4G most of the time when I'm not on WiFi, and I'm lucky to get 2 hours of screen on time and 12 hours total time out of a charge.

Peel Smart Remote. Disable the lock screen widget and notification widget in the App's settings.

I'm on Marshmallow. Have 4G and WiFi on too. I never wait for OTA's as you'll be waiting for ever.

Battery life much better with MM.

I see there are 3 SA versions (xfa, xfe) on SAMMobile. Only 1 of which has marshmallow. Does it matter which one we take?

Edit : I see this had been answered already.

Ugh, now I have to sign up, and they say 15kb/s max on free account? Damn

I downloaded the South African one from their site, it's XFE. It doesn't seem to have any carrier specific things on it at all. I signed up, and it downloaded at an average of 400Kb/s so don't worry about that. I'm going to see what the batter life is like today, I have location disabled, network is set to LTE/Auto, so hopefully it's better. I did a factory reset of the previous OS before putting the phone into download mode and flashing to Marshmallow so it's a fresh install.

Even back when I had my S4, Vodacom would release the OTA updates within two weeks of MTN, so it's still good news and I will be checking my phone constantly.
