Maybe try to access the Android Device Manager on a pc and lock your phone. It will allow you to change the password.

Must be a staggered update. I'm on Vodacom too (S6 flat) and just checked, still says 'The latest updates have already been installed'.

My Android version is still 5.1.1 :/

What's your last checked on dated? If it is yesterdays date click on the update icon and will notify you that the update is available

Did the upgrade and all is mostly good so far.
