On that note, have you seen the dates of manufacture on everything? It seems all the S6 phones and wireless chargers were made mid-March, and already in SA stores by April. Now THAT is impressive.
 
Guys, I'm reading numerous reports on the XDA forums that about 30% of s6 edge owners have had micro scratches on the front screen. The scratches are only visible under a flashlight or under sunlight directly. It appears it could be a manufacturing fault as the scratches can't be felt and the source of it can't be traced to the phones country of production or build date. People globally are affected. Just want to ask if any fellow South Africans, have this issue? On a side note, how is the battery life lol

There were also reports of devices powering up in transit so if your phone is dead when you unbox it just chatge it for 10 minutes and try again.

On the matter of the microscratches last I read it was only the AT&T early shipped batch.

Has things changed? Do any of the locals suffer from this?

No scratches on my device what so ever. Flawless.

Battery life is better than I expected.

Yeah, Erica Griffin mentioned it in her review, too, as she also had a scratched unit.

Erica mentioned that hers was a T-Mobile variant, and it was scratched.
 
Makro Twitter: S6 - R9999, S6 edge - R11 999
Methinks a mistake of sorts.
 
Quite a few people mentioning that they have the pinkish haze on their screens, particularly on white/grey backgrounds.
I am happy to report that I have no scratches, pink haze, or any other defects :-)
I did notice my wife's gold S6 had a slightly skew home button. She hasn't notice yet, and I'm not saying anything...
 
Here's two weird things I've noticed about the S6:

1: The phone appears to have only 2.6GB of RAM, not the claimed 3GB:

2: Even if you close all running apps after a fresh startup, the phone utilises about 65-70% of its RAM:

Can anybody else confirm if it's the same for them? It just seems unhealthy, so I'm thinking a format might be in order.
