I'm waiting for the Note 6. Still using my Note II and very happy, but it is time. With better battery and sd-card slot. I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on this one.

For sure, but getting it with a contract, softens that potentially R13k blow to the finances. Unfortunately my contract just got renewed.
And paying FNB something like R699 p/m for 24 mnths............a bit OTT. Guess I can't have my cake AND eat it.

I would be ok with what I paid for my s5 2 years back. But then I also want the 2gb data and something cool to go with the phone line I got with the s5.

Premium phones are getting more expensive. The S4 cost $250 at launch. The S6 was listed at $650 at launch. Huge price difference in just two years.

Yep, also waiting for the Note 6, been happily using the the Note 4 since its launch, nothing in 2015 was worth leaving it, not even the Note5, but if the Note 6 brings back MicroSD plus gets Water+Dust Proofing, and bigger battery, I am getting it.
The S7 should give us an idea of what to expect.
Now that the G5 was announced with a rather 'blehh' design, let's see if Samsung can knock it out the park

I'm guessing the same all metal-glass design with a smaller camera hump and a SD-Card support, with IP67 water resistance.

That's what I want. The Galaxy S6 Edge design was better than anything else brought in 2015, and so far what's been announced at MWC2016, so if they have further refined a great design that only debuted last year and added Water and Dust Protection, while also fitting a much larger battery, larger Camera sensor, and a better display panel then I am happy
The LG has simply tried too hard with the G5 , they have landed up with a mid end looking flagship, the G4 looks way better, they could have simply refined the G4 design e.g. Adding a metal frame and keeping the rear leather back.
EDIT:
I hope the Exynos 8890 with Wolfson DAC SoC is the international S7, and Snapdragon 820 is just USA. The Exynos 8890 in Power Save mode was already showing promising results.

Agree, think lg tried to hard and its not a very attactive device at all. Samsung have a winning design with the note 5 so lets hope the s7 takes that shape... My 2c
