Samsung Galaxy S9 & S9+

Samsung will announce the specs and release date of the upcoming S9 and S9+ soon, which in my opinion will be a direct competitor to the Iphone X (10). Check out the unofficial videos of renders and rumours below and would you buy one bearing the possible high price in mind if the S8 and Note 8 are anything to go by?

While we wait for the official news from Samsung:

I know, its just wishful thinking and rumours but it will be interesting to see what Samsung comes up with when the official phone is released.

Won’t they skip the 9 and go straight to a Galaxy X :whistling:

I thought the iPhone X was made to compete with the s8 and it still comes up a bit short.

The iPhone X has a lower resolution screen, and lower megapixel front camera. The rest of the specs are pretty much identical but iPhone X is going to cost a lot more.

It wouldn't look good if Samsung copied the ugly notch in the iPhone X's display. Firstly for the blatant plagiarism but also for copying a bad idea. Rather have razor thin bezels top and bottom until all the sensors and front camera can be squeezed into the frame of the device.

Agree, but not bottom

They'd probably want a symmetric design though. Until technology permits a truly bezelless design, the current Samsung designs and the Pixel 2 are better imo than Apple's thing.

I'm really happy with my standard looking OnePlus 5. Having the navigation buttons in the lower bezel frees up a lot of space on the display - a preferable configuration to the unusual aspect ratios of the small-bezelled phones imo. Black bars when watching videos ain't pretty.
