I use a lot of modded apks and have never gotten any spam from them.

Yep. Did a clean install of the XFE firmware about 3 days ago. Looks good and I can't see any battery draining issues (as mentioned by other people). There is a night mode which turns the menus black, which is glorious, and the layout of the native Samsung apps (Call, Messaging, etc) has improved by moving some of the controls to the bottom of the screen to help with one-handed operation.
 
Not upgrading my 9+ until Google allows phone recordings again.

Boldbeast recording sort of works/records both ways if you have it on speaker.
This i personally tested, on Pie.
Not ideal, but at least a work around.?

Then i found another recording app, apparently or claiming to be working fine, on Pie ?
Sorry, cannot recall name at moment, only remembered, it cost something like R146 in Play store... !
Does not seem like a scam or likewise.
So at least there's efforts to get it working again.!

Is there any new news on when slow SA will get android 9 one ui for s9. was released 24 des 2018, today is 13 feb 2019 and my phone still say latest one installed from nov 2018
 
I couldn't wait so I flashed the SA XFE rom yesterday, but wow was a 4.3GB download.
