No I haven't. Need to get a new phone this year but nothing is exciting. The Z3 is still doing the job but the battery isn't so great anymore. Will see what gets released later this year.
 
ya **** SA is getting ripped a new one with the S9 Price.

I said i wouldn't upgrade but Samsung came out with this trade up thing.
Phone costs R10,500 in Singapore , samsung offering R3500/R4000 for my S7E , so i can buy a s9 for +-R7000. not bad. Might be worth it :)

Dion has a trade up option. But might be only for PCs?
 
Vodacom says no pricing yet. Popped in at store.

I don't think it's really worth it. The only reason I'm upgrading is that we are a phone short in the household after my daughter was mugged in december, so she's currently using a friend's extra as a loan, so need to replace it.

But then the S9 is going to have to last me at least 1 year.

Waste of money IMO. when the note 9 comes along you'll want that :p

The only concern i have for future upgrades is i think the prices are going to be insane with the new vat of 15% and the new tax of 9%. I dont know if i will be able to afford a note 9

AFAIK 1% vat (14% to 15) + 2% ad-valorem excise duty rate on luxury goods (from 7% to 9) = 3% increase.

I see they stole the 960FPS capture from the Sony XZ, however Sony now bettered it with a 1080 960FPS capture in the new XZ2 series.
This is seriously a feature I'd play around with ALOT:)
