Samsung i780

It's on Vodacom through Autopage - R500 pay in on a R185 business contract. I knew about the car charger but was blown away by the dock. Did anyone else get the dock?
 
I can't get the GPS working as it says it's waiting for sms activation. WTF?!

Apparently only the first batch had these, so all of us world wide are in the same scratchy boat.

Well i just got my first scratch on my screen today, which i knew was bound to happen :(

been looking for over a week for a screen protector and pouch, but nothing here yet :(

Can they polish scratches out on a phone, does anyone know anything about this ?
 
I'm sure the glass can be polished.

we just need someone who is flying to the states in the very near future cos it would be silly to ship just one of these. Or else we start a mass order, collect the bucks and get a batch sent over. Although they say they only charge $3 to ship worldwide so maybe this is not an issue.

7 dollars is around R50-R60. thats peanuts really and i need one. how long do you think it takes to ship to SA ? if anyone wants to order in bulk count me in.

BTW, i found a really cool wallpaper pack for the I780. i posted it on XDA, here is the link for anyone looking for some. it is 738 wallpapers, mixture of art, cars, futuristic etc. really good stuff :)

I've found the software from SPBsoftwarehouse is pretty good.

I was able to get phonesuite working by using realvga and setting the DPI to 96 although this makes everything rather small so it's not everyone's cup of rooibos.

you dont need realvga to run this, it works perfect at standard resolution.

Are you running phonesuite? I found the profiles not displaying properly on the today plugin.
 
nope. i run both hinavigator and spb mobile shell together.
 
My internet connection stopped working on Sunday for no apparent reason. I now get a "access denied by access control policy" error on IE. I also can't send MMS's. Please help :)
 
Here are the settings for Vodacom, Mtn, cell C and Virgin.

just download the cab file that applies to your isp. copy it over to your storage card, run it and reboot your phone. it will install all the settings for you, gprs,3G, Hsdpa, MMS etc ...
