JUst got my i780 ... havent even turn it on yet ... does it exclude the memory card?
I thought 1GB was included :/
pointui is not bad, but rather get yourself Hinavigator, it has far better customisations and looks alot better as well.

I downloaded pointui on Sunday but I how do I install it?
PointUI doesn't work properly on my phone. Hinavigator looks great but freezes my phoneso don't even think about installing it.
snip; you should update to the latest version.
I'm running the E1 rom.
hmm, what rom are you running because hinavigator works fine on my I780. might be rom related, you should update to the latest version.
I'm running the E1 rom.
E1 from XDA (or other internet source), E1 as opened from the box, or E1 from authorized service centre upgrade?
Would be great to have the time to do the XDA (EFN's) version of the WM 6.1 ROM, but I'm scared of voiding the warranty and need extra hours in my day.
Does anyone have ANY news on local available firmware updates?
Also - any idea on where I can buy a cradle for the car when using it as GPS?
Sorry still don't know where you got the E1 from? I'm still on B1.................
Thanks amaedict, looks like we're getting somewhere now! Thanks for the heads up on EFN's version - I'm also not to keen on the HTC's Today plugin... Uses too much space!
Is this E1 update WM 6.0 or WM 6.1 ?
How do I backup my existing B1 ROM to revert to should the cooked process become overcooked or burnt?![]()
Thanks for the post, amaedict! I wanted to do the flash, but came accross your post on XDA regarding the JAVA and bluetooth: "There is a problem with Java on this rom, i tried to install java apps and i keep getting a VM not loaded error. Also the blue tooth keeps disconnecting every 30 seconds or so."
To have the bluetooth working is crucial to me - is this still a problem? Is there a fix?
Any other bugs that you are aware of on this ROM?
Have you tried EFN's version 3.3? Just seems like they have more updates more often...Can you load the Hinavigator plugin over this version and effectivele replace the HTC Home plugin and contiue as normal?
Thanks for all the help!
the wm6.1 rom from XDA (EFN's) version 3.3 is HORRIBLE !!! I flashed this rom to test, hated it and reflashed the E1 rom back instead.
The WM6.1 rom on XDA (EFN's) version is designed to work at 96DPI so everything is off centre ( he filled the big blanks on the side with HTC logo's ) not to mention at 96DPI everything is really small and hard to read, and the rom is basicly converted to look like an HTC theme which i hate. i have a samsung, why on earth do i want htc logo's and themes all over my phone ?
apart from what i mentioned above it also has these bugs :
Known Bugs:
- SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 does not run 100% (Still not tested) - update on SPB MS 2.1 available now at the bottom
- In the default 96 DPI mode, some Windows will be displayed akwardly small but 100% functional.
- Some Pop-ups still strayed from the center but 100% functional
- Today Theme not designed for 96DPI will not display properly
- 96 DPI mode will have lesser support for Asian SIPs
- Installing Opera 9.51b1 will render odd behaviour to notifications (email and SMS notification goes quiet)
- GPS Port Splitter 1.2 WILL NOT WORK - been tested and tweaked to no avail
Try it if you want, but i highly advise against it. WM6.1 update from samsung is a month or so away, rather wait for the real thing.
