Check your registry settings as per my previous post. I assume you don't have any sms in the inbox at the moment?
 
No nothing ... but last time I checked, they were on SMSAvailable="1" .... so I assume it'd be the same?
 
Now my activesync isn't on ;)

I should be able to work through that .... and yes, USB connections are on ;P
 
It's still SMSAvailable="1" ... so it should work. I guess I need an SMS :/

In your second regedit thing, you say :

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Setting s]
"SMSAvailable"=dword:00000001

Why the dword thing? Why not a 0 or 1?
 
Just another update :

Garmin XT won't install on my unit and gives an error. Would be interesting to see whether it works on your dads ...

Oh - and threaded def doesnt work.

Further update : Garmin works ... needed a heard reset ;)

Probably ,if not just uninstall...

edit:
I suspect it just does the regedit for you, so if the regedit doesn't work this probably wont, worth a try though.

I've had Palm Treos for the last 3 years with thread SMS and I think its fantastic :)

I guess I'm used to it!

The I780 Does is come boxed with wm6.1 now?

Still the complete kit of chargers and battery and garmin in the box?

I think my questions have been answered by samsung now.... this may just be the thing im looking for. How long is the Garmin licence for?

2 years, this is the lifetime of the handset.

The correct answer = This is the lifetime of the handset however many years, in other words coupled to the IMEI Number of the handset irospective of the years or ownership(For LIFE COUPLED TO THE IMEI NUMBER OF THE PHONE). The IMEI Number dies so does the Garmin Mobile XT Life time License.:)
 
Hey. Ive been using my i780 with the Samsungblog WM6.1 update for a number of weeks and i dont know whether its the upgrade but im having a serious problem with the sending of sms. Sometimes they take hours to send, sometimes i get a delivery report but the poeple dont get them and other times i dont get any delivery reports but the people receive the sms. Any ideas? I got the phone in Feb. Oh and i did hard reset after upgrading. Thanks.
