A New York real estate agent recently filed a lawsuit against Samsung, claiming her Galaxy Note 9 had spontaneously ignited in her purse.

well you made all these changes to the phone, without doing something to the engineering behind the battery?

is it too much to ask to maybe make it more flame retardant? and less gadget laden.

or even, go back to old school removable battery? where you can throw the battery away and put a better engineered one in afterwards.

Phone has been out in the market for over a year, have not heard of any fires besides this one. **** happens occasionally, batteries catching fire is not cool but it happens and it happens on phones, cars, planes, boats etc

Agreed, but Samsung has a history.

And it was addressed, they took that particular phone off the market and refunded the buyers. This is a one out of a million incident compared to a real problem. Lets try and be objective here.
