Samsung joins Huawei

Wrong. It is not me who confused and still is confusing Mate 20 with Mate 20 Lite, you do. I will be the same angry in regard to any idiot who is trying to take an advantage or take a personal vendetta when someone makes a mistake, then he trash my browser with 8.6MB screenshot in BMP format. This was what Mr Junky Dave did last night.

I didn't mention Mate 20 in any my posts.

PS

You’re being Mr Angry in your tone again, you really need to calm down, no need for insults just because you’re wrong (again)...

Go away, Mr. Junky Dave, stop trashing this thread, it's over.

What a wonderful grown up answer .

You were wrong, and then wrong again, I would think there should be an apology for those lies and falsehoods you attempted to foist on this thread.

I await you apology for suggesting I was making things up when it was actually you doing so (once again).

/waits...

@rpm
I wonder, there is no other way to explain why these hateful attacks are triggered by one wrong mouse click @1:45AM. Tried to fix it five minutes later and BANG: YOU Mr Junky (etc). There are always some hateful, socially disgruntled people around, but they would rather attack at random, not always the same person (repeatedly), I believe.

Only one explanation is to agree that it is an organized attack, like the Israeli social media soldiers work around the clock and they are in full force. Otherwise the owner of this forum would not tolerate such disruptive behaviour. See more: https://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/958931-Social-media-war-The-21st-century-army

You know, all you had to to do was say “sorry, I confused the P20 Pro/Mate 20 Lite for the Mate 20 Pro” to the user who asked you for the images.

There was no need for all the anger and insults, and even worse, you now appear to have gone back to your earlier posts and added in some veiled racist insults as well.

What is wrong with you? You made a mistake, take ownership of your errors and incorrect assumptions and move on.

An apology for losing your temper and becoming a bit insulting would be nice, as well...

The tech gap is so large between a good camera (even a point and shoot) and what is in a phone, that it is unlikely to ever close

So when are we doing this comparison?

I'm interested to see just how 'far ahead' a R2k camera and R20k phone really are.

For what it's worth, I'd put money on the phone ...

Sensor size and quality for a start. The biggest difference between a phone and a point and shoot. the same as the difference between a professional camera and an amature camera.

More controls on a camera

Zoom

More?
Just a quick one

I just took a random R2k phone review in fact that the sensor is pretty much the same as a phone (1/1.73) The same review says performance (on average) matches iPhone 6 or Galaxy S7. Yo

So now ... Have you ever seen P20Pro in action? Have you seen how it compares to an iPhone 6 or S7? It easily outperforms the phones mentioned (and therefore the R2k camera).

I think you'll find you need to triple the price of the P&S to compare ... And even then, you'll be hard-pressed to tell the difference

Lastly, when it comes to controls ... Have you seen what is available on a R2k camera and the pro mode on a phone? I reckon they're pretty much spot on.

I think where the camera will outshine is on zoom alone ...

I totally agree with you... Especially when you are using a smartphone with AI.. The images will surprise you

AI really depends on the implementation and taste. I really like the Pixel 2XL ones, don't really like the Huawei ones compared (especially the overblown selfies).
Of course, I am definitely not a purchaser of such expensive phones. :p

The Huawei P20 pro is by far the best smart phone camera... I do have issues with the front camera because of the extra sharpening... But the rear one takes the trophy

Is this guy a troll or just an idiot?
Hit and run. If you are going to say something be prepared to back it up.

Gave my POS away. Besides the optical zoom my smartphone takes a better photo 90% of time, is always on me and is super convenient connectivity wise. On a recent overseas trip my POS didn't take a single picture.
