Samsung Note 3 GPS Issues

Good day peeps

I'm having issues on my Samsung Note 3 its over 12 months old now and I'm running android ver. 4.4.2

For some reason my GPS cannot pin point my location which causes my Google maps not to work properly or not directing me at all to my destination. it just flashes on the top

I have done some research on the net and found the following fixes which i tried int the following orders

1. removed the cash on google maps - did not work
2. ran this youtube fix https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC8jNb38gaY - did not work
3. done a complete factory reset - worked for a day
4. the only other thing i can try now is to update to ver.4.4.4 ,, but if i go to settings about and update . it tells me the latest firm ware its already updated
5. I installed keys and its telling me the same thing i already have the latest firmware installed.. how can i update to ver 4.4.4? .I don't want to root my phone be course its still under warranty

Any other GPS fixes or suggestions out there?
 
You're not the only one with GPS issues on the note3.
I ended up installing waze and it works just fine when google maps doesn't.
 
I have the same issue on the Note 3 amongst others, Samsungs response is to Wipe the phone and hope for the best.

I do this every few months

i'm installing waze right now will test it after work and give feedback , I also tried gps checker but it also cannot pin point my location

do you go into applications > google maps > clear data and clear cache?

mine directed me to turn right into a road that came in from the left :)
 
Ok i have installed waze

the gps location is still flasshing
 
Have you tried removing any cases on your phone? sometimes these cases can interfere with gps and gsm signals (if they're made of some kinds of metal or have wireless charging features).
 
Same issue, GPS just doesn't pick up... Hoping you find a solution
 
Oi, after everything you've done it looks like sending it in for repair is the only option left. Just off-hand. You are in an open area with clear view of the sky; so your GPS can "see" the satellites? It needs to log onto at least 4.

When driving it does pick up sattelites, at home you don't really need the gps to guide you anywhere.

I got my note 3 for a month and didn't really have issues on holiday navigating around using waze. The vrou prefers Google maps on her s4 mini.
 
At first when I got my Note 3 the gps worked fine. A few months down the line the gps stopped working. Couldn't find any satellites. Only way to fix this was to take it in for repairs. They changed the pcboard and all fixed up. Had it done 4 months ago and still running strong.
 
I have two Note 3 phones, both running on 4.4.2. I have never had a moments problem with either phone, GPS acquisition is always super fast. Obviously, if you are using an app that doesn't have stored maps (google maps, waze) you need to have data turned on and a good internet connection.
 
Hi guys i just want to give you a update ,, I took my phone in to SAMSUNG head office and after a few hours I got my phone back and still had the issue . I'm tired of waiting when the next update for the new operating system will be released as this will help with the issue ( Samsung SA said they are not going to release the update yet as some other mobile carriers have not approved the release yet , its been alomst a year since android released v 4.4.4 ) ,, So last night i updated to the new android Lollipop and the new base version N9005XXEGBNL8 . this OS is super fast and everything else works great except the old GPS still not locking my location

So people I don't think we will win with this Note 3 issue? Should we create Facebook fan page of my phones note 3 GPS is not working ? hopefully if we get enough followers they will recall the product?
