Samsung P2450

I bought myself a Samsung P2450 today. I noticed it has built in speakers and I know they aren't that great. I would still like to test them out though. I've got the right cable and connected it to my PC, but I do not get any sound. Any idea as to what the problem might be?

Oh yes, I plugged it into the green audio jack at the back of my PC.

Well I have the P2450H and there are no speakers.

I also have a P2450, it doesn't have built in speakers. It has HDMI in and a speaker out port.

Audio pass-through(from HDMI), you can plug a set of speakers into the monitor.

Well done! I also have one, it's a fantastic display.

Just make sure you select on the display menu that it's connected to a pc & not AV (default setting).

I'm using MagicBright (auto setting) + dynamic for my display settings, using the P2450 with my PS3 via HDMI.

ok, well it does have have a audio in and digital audio out. what does that mean?

It has HDMI in and then audio out and digital audio out.

If you want to use it for audio you have to connect the LCD to your PC via HDMI, make sure your PC is set to use the HDMI output for audio. You can then connect your speakers or headphones to either the audio or digital or audio output.
