Hey guys

I just got my S2333 and im sure im doing something wrong here.

When i play counter-strike source it feels like my fps is dropping, and the game just doesnt feel the smooth in general. Is there something im supposed to do? i installed the driver.

Im completely new to the world of LCD but this "jerky" feeling just isnt great. Im sure i could get used to it but i didnt buy a 23" LCD screen to down grade the feeling of my games.

Any help would be great.
Thanks

Could be your GPU can't handle the bigger screen size properly.

What res you running? Try dropping to 1024x768 then go up from there until it still feels good.

disable anti-aliasing

you dont need it with hi-res gaming

Yip, turn the res back down to the res of your old screen, or reduce aa and af or reduce graphics options..

I set the limit of my fps to 100...and i get 100 constant. It still feels jerky. Is it because my CRT ran at 85Hz?

Lcd's do not work on refresh rate man.

What resolution is CS running at? how do you know your going at 100FPS? sounds funny your game running at 100fps but your monitor jerking, what refresh rate is your monitor running at?

Soz for the late reply but i had to run to work.

Cs has a graph that shows your fps, mine is 100 constant. Im running cs the same res as my desktop.

Ive tried a number of different res's but its still the same. My game just doesnt feel smooth.

Its set to 60...but it feels so wrong. Feels like im getting 50fps

I just spoke to a friend thats has the same monitor, he says his plays cs fine but when i go to info on the monitor menu his says digital and mine says analog...could that be it? and if so how the heck do i change it ?

Yea what cable are you using?

Should be the white cable? not the blue one. Sounds like your using your old monitor's setup to run the card new monitor, use the white cable that came in the box.

o lordy

Ill swap that quick lol brb

"crosses fingers"

If that doesn't work, then simply update your monitor driver using the cd provided. I have the same one but never experience any problems yet.

Keep us updated.

Ps
Paid R2250.00incl expensive? :p

I changed the cables...but it still doesnt seem smooth. Im all outa ideas here. I tried updating the drivers and it says driver installed successfully but i cant see a difference

K well im gona download Ati 9.3 drivers. If that doesnt help then kill just have to live with this thing

Updated drivers...no help. I upped my max fps ingame from 100 too 300. Seems to help a little but not what i was expecting...

Thanks for the help guys but looks like im stuck with this thing
