Good day,

this is my first post on the forum, i have been following for years but only just registered.

I have a Samsung UA48H5500 smart TV and am trying to find out if there is a Universal or a Samsung smart remote which is compatible with this model?
I know the newer models come out with a remote which gives you the ‘Nintendo Wii wand” effect, where you can move the cursor on the screen by simply moving the remote/wand.

I am looking for 1 like this that works off a IR or Bluetooth usb?

also this TV has no AV output, so i'm battling to figure out how to link my surround sound to play through the TV.
here is a pic of the actual Samsung 1

hi
yip it has a AV function, but only AV in
so if i hook up a DVD player or PVR via AV cables then it plays but the sound comes through the TV's speakers.
my previous TV's have always had a AV out option, where you run an AV cable from your home theatre system into the tv.
then when you put your home theatre on TV out option then the sounds plays through the home theatre and not through the TV speakers

can't you use the optical out or doesn't it have one?

Yea , optical.

Or take it from DSTV, DVD, etc to the home theater and bypass the TV altogether?

Does anyone have any issues with turning their TV on/off with the smart remote? I have a UA46H700 & I have to turn on/off manually? (only had it 3 months and its done this from day 1)?

I also own the 46H7000 and the TV turns off fine with the smart remote, no issues.
