Samsung's ecosystem

Use S22 as phone and M2 Pro iPad as tablet. They exchange emails OK and no problems. For sound I can stream to my Creative x7 via BT from both or use Bose QC 35II's or Sony WH-1000XM5s. Methinks that's pretty integrated as an ecosystem. It just works.

What Xiaomi stuff do you have?
It is more a question of what stuff would I like to have. Although our selection is pretty limited in SA. I wish we could get the Xiaomi laptops/pro books here.

A combination of the watches/fitbits/bands.
Air buds.
Charging Docks.
MiBox

And then of course:
Smart Projector
Smart Lgihting
Robot Vacuum.
Kettle.
Wireless Security.
Lamps
Pet Food feeder.
Purifier.
Electric bikes?

The "R" TVs I understand are the cream of the crop.

Its about 2 years old now
the specs are https://www.samsung.com/levant/tvs/qled-q80r-row/QA65Q80RARXTW/
I think the Q90R was the top of the range this came in slightly below that
The Q90R had more dimming zone and faster response times but never felt like the Q80R was ever slow.

I think R just means made in 2019
I think you right about that , Because I remember there was a Q80T the next year I think the numbers dictated the model range I also remember there was a Q900R as well I think

@Dolby was explaining it to me one day. If I recall the "T" models are crap compared to the "R". Hopefully he can pop in and give his 2c.
Yup .

What I meant was that every year, Samsung seems to water down their models.

So the Q70R (2019) is a FALD display rather than edge lit, which isn't as good . But the same model in 2020 (Q70T) is now only edge lit and you need to now go Q80T for a FALD display.

Even back in the day my KU7000 was lacking many features of my H7000 - even though both were Series 7
My Q70R lacked features from my Q7F - even though though they were both Series 7

"The Samsung Q70/Q70T QLED directly replaces the Samsung Q70/Q70R QLED from 2019. The Q70T is a bit of a step down, as it doesn't perform as well and lacks a local dimming feature, which the Q70R has. The Q70T also has a slower response time, leading to more motion blur, and it has a significantly lower peak brightness. The Q70T doesn't feel as well-built as the Q70R, but you get eARC support on the Q70T, and it has a lower input lag."

It seems to go with other models as well - everything is worse in the year after :( .. and then a margin improvement the year after that

"The Samsung Q90T QLED and the Samsung Q90/Q90R QLED have similar performance overall. The Q90T is the Q90R's replacement in name only, as it doesn't have the One Connect Box and its feature set is closer to the Q80R. The Q90T has better viewing angles due to the new implementation of the 'Ultra Viewing Angle' layer, and it has a lower input lag. The Q90T gains eARC support, but its black uniformity is noticeably worse compared to the Q90R"

"The Samsung Q80/Q80T QLED and the Samsung Q80/Q80R QLED are very similar TVs in many respects. The Q80R can get much brighter in HDR, its local dimming performs better, and it has a higher contrast ratio. On the other hand, the Q80T has better color accuracy, a faster response time, and a lower input lag, which is good news for gamers. Both TVs have a 120Hz refresh rate and support VRR to reduce screen tearing when gaming."
