So HiFi in Boksburg called me now (where the devices were sent from) telling me they got it wrong and they won't be sending me a new one and collecting the old one. They said I must take it to the nearest HiFi to me and they will swap it out.

Unfortunately there is no stock in Cape Town!!! They also can't send one to a store either so they offered to upgrade me to the 10" if I pay in the extra which I said no to.

I told them they must sort this out and then call me when they have a proper answer for me so now I wait.

Don't really want to keep the used one incase there was a problem with it and was returned.

P.S. even tho it been 7 days, they apparently have it on record that I reported this a few days ago and they are the ones taking their time to sort this out so now I wait.

HiFi Boksburg is the same branch that sent me the wrong tablet. Bunch of ****tards.

I had to return the tablet to the N1 city store - waited 30 minutes to be attended to at the returns counter and then another 20 minutes in the queue at the till so they can print out the correct invoice.

They have just called me back. N1 City have ordered more stock and once it arrives, I can go and exchange it so thats at least good news. Told the lady to inform the management there so I don't have any problems etc.

Upgraded mine to Windows 10 last night and chose to keep everything during the upgrade but the drivers got "lost". I was able to install the drivers by going to device manager and making it search for the drivers online.

It still doesn't output to an external display though (Using Intel GPU drivers) :(

So i got feedback regarding the office situation.I was advised that it would automatically activate once installed.I ran into an issue where MS says my cc is invalid,so no installer file for me :( ...I searched the web and came up empty,so I signed up on the US version using my paypal account.This got me the installer file,and monthly charge of $6.99 if I were to activate.Now its currently installing,so I will see if it auto activates
 
The more horror stories I read here the happier I am with my decision to import an HP Stream. The 32 gig storage alone makes it worth the extra effort, not to even get to the fact that the Steam drivers are on the HP's support website.

Wiat until you have to deal with HP ;)

Seriously though, for a R1k? Full PC that can do a bunch of basic tasks, if it breaks in the first year they will replace it. Decent deal that I'm happy I went for.
 
once I selected that option,the tablet would only reboot to recovery while the USB drive was connected.I did tell it to continue until it got to a section that asked if some keys should be deleted or kept by pressing "Esc" or down arrow on the keyboard.I kept those keys,there after having restarted the tab,it would only go to recovery until the USB drive was disconnected
 
I've returned mine today and received a replacement.This has MS office and I've successfully activated this now.
Very professional staff

Where did you return it to? I am still waiting for the N1 City branch to get back to me regarding stock.
