Anyone know if eneloops are still available in SA? I see some of the shops have AAAs but no one really has AA batteries anymore.?

Thanks I need AAA rechargeable, and I love the AA Eneloops I have. Bought from Zaps over a year ago, but I see they also don't have them any more.

I'd disagree. They went through a stage where they were selling 1800s as 2100 but the batteries are back to full strength and work well. I've got at least 12 sets of 4xAA going at any one time and the nice thing about the hybrio is they will hold their charge for extended periods. I plan to pick up at least another 4 sets while the special is on.

Fair enough - I was seething when I saw what they were doing wrt the packaging for the past couple of years because prior to that they were really good batteries. I'm putting my most recent set through their paces right now and so far so good.

Thank you muchly - will see if local branch has them - have2have delivery times too long and price per battery is about the same
