SAOL Signup Delays

Just a note: Don't get personal. Play the ball and not the man in other words. If you put in a negative comment about a company in your signature, please state why you are negative about the said company or link to a post about you experience. Unless it is Telkom. :D

We all know why they suck!
II take offense to this utterly disgusting racist remarks, and that from a highly respected member of MyADSL. How can you exclude and discriminate so directly against TELKOM? That is the same as racism….
..... Then again I AGREE. They are a fraudulent, money extorting, Monopolistic, anti consumer, SA citizen Broadband rapist, having no compassion for the poor and bandwidth hungry population they discriminate against by depriving them from the most basic human rights in South Africa, access to abundant and free information

Our signup also went fine. Happy so far with them.
Yep, us too. Took less than 5 minutes after payment for our 10 accounts. Well done SAOL.

Holy ****.

I just read through this whole thread, and really, for pete sake, are you all a bunch of babies. This goes for the complainers, as well as some of the Saol guys.

For the complainers: Don’t let these small things take over your life, or you will surely become very unhappy, living in SA and all.

For Saol: I can’t believe you (a professional business) are even getting involved in this whole argument. Seems like kind of a schoolboyish thing to do.

Focus on the real problem which is our beloved Telkom and idiotic government (DOC), rather than going on about one or two mistakes that someone else made.

So glad there's a big mature person like you to talk a bit of sense into all of us teenagers, I have seen the error of my ways thanks to your post.

We're certainly a lucky bunch.....

One of the fundamental reasons I don't post on MyADSL anymore. We have a free voice and the right to complain. If we don't talk about the small things, how will we even be able to address the bigger one's. Each person have different situations and what seems to be a small problem to one can be a massive problem for another.

I am not against SAOL. I had a complaint about the service I received from them and made them aware of it. They had a right to respond, as had the people that thanked them for good service. Overall I don't see anything wrong with this thread apart from the odd personal attacks which can be ignored. The issues has been addressed. Whether it means we went with them or not.

It didn't take over my life, but when my internet access makes the difference between having a paycheck and not having one, I will make an attempt at resolving and airing my problems. Just like I would congratulate someone for giving good service in the same breath.

Telkom made a decision. We don't agree with it but at the moment can't do much about it. Long term we can but in the meantime all of us needs to do what's best for our individual needs. However by focussing just on them we actually allow other providers to let service slip. Would you have accepted this service had Telkom not been the enemy (Many people would turn around in their graves if this happened) ?

If I really have to answer this question, here goes. No it won’t be acceptable from Telkom or anyone other ISP for that matter, but there is a huge difference. In the case of Telkom you don’t have a choice at the moment; you have to stay with them. In case of the other ISP's, if you really can’t live with what they are doing..... *newsflash* - move to another one - you have a choice.

If you had read my posts correctly it's what I did. And I thanked them for it. I complained, I got a response I wasn't satisfied with due to the way it was handled, made it clear, and moved on. And as I said before and keep saying, because of it, SAOL made changes to ensure it doesn't happen for future clients, and therefore did act upon it.

I fail to see the difference. I think the point has been made clear and in future I for one will refrain from mentioning good or bad service overall.

if I send an SMS from my phone to a phone number starting with 2783 it gets through to the person that t's intended for.
Heh, +27 usualy... and on the MTN network, my SMS's get rejected if there is a +27 country code in them.

My post was directed at all the personal attacks, and at both the people going on and on about the same thing as well as at Saol.
It was not directed at you or anyone in specific, but it the shoe fit...

I will happily wear it since I was one of the complainers. Issue closed as far as I am concerned however.

Please get a grip, the reason I carried on was because you took forever to even apologise and were extremely cheaky in your reply posts to my problem.

Very professional I must say.

Can we let this rest now??? Or are we going to carry on like children?

Counter Strike is bad for you.
