I don`t know what the problem is.

I am downloading with my new SAOL account from my
Dreamhost server and the downloads stop at about the
same stage with every file.

This has never happened before on Telkom, Afrihost or ZAConnect.

My IP Is: 196.22.xxx.xxx

Any suggestions?

I have inserted a screenshot here:

I had some issues last night with basically nothing coming through. Reset router this morning and it started again, so dunno if something was wrong. Will only be able to check again tonight. But RS and torrents both did not work.

Yip, I'm having 1 or 2 out of character issues as well. Got a bunch of corrupted files off RS from a normally very reliable uploader...

PM Neethi and ask her to move you to the 41 IP range, seems that the 196 IP range is problematic, I think it's some kind of backup IP range.

I am on the 196 range.....but have had no problems (only got SAOL yesterday)

Should I try to more to the 41.x network as well?

From about 10 this morning my Saol 384 Uncapped is dead...

Just received an email from Leon Reddy at SAOL that my IP range has been changed. Hope it sorts out my problem.

Rebooted router and am in 41.xx.xxx.xxx range.

I am so impressed by the SAOL staff.

Even if a better deal comes along I won`t leave these guys.

PS. Neethi also PM`d me asking if everything is working fine.

Service like this is priceless

Will update later if problem is sorted out.

Guys - seriously, what more are you getting when you move to the 41.x network?

I am on the 196.x network........torrents and HTTP max out at around 30-35KBps.....

I always say, if it aint broke, don't fix it!

Some people were experiencing issues with torrents downloading slower with the 196 IP range, but if yours works fine on that IP range then leave it be.

Agreed,

Problem here I think is, 196.... range is a static IP range on a different feed. 41... is a SAIX range

My torrents were standing still these last few days, so i asked to be moved over, will test tonight. I am also now on the 41. range, but at work :(

Been using my account all month and no issues.

196 range to boot

But I donno, I'm not downloading 24/7 like some of u ;)

But it' always been fine when I've needed it.

sorry if this is a stupid question, but, does that mean that news servers will work if one is on the 41.x range?

I think "something" happened between 1am and 2am. All my downloads just "stopped". Had to reset the router.

Anybody else have this problem?
