SARS E-Filing 2015

Mine was quick. First time ever SARS not requiring any documents. Every year audit or verification. Filed and 5 minutes later cell beep for IT34 and next mrning in my account and not a bad sum from my travelling. What to spend it on????

See my e-filing status now is:

"Your Income Tax Return has been assessed and you should receive your Notice of Assessment as an attachment in your eFiling profile within the next two weeks."

So at least something is happening.

Any more news on your side? I've had the same status since last week Friday but have heard nothing since...

Filed this morning. Also selected for verification. How will I know what they need from me for verification?

Never mind, found a letter under notifications. Just a "broad" letter asking for all IRP5's etc etc.

I had one IRP5 that was not reflecting automatically. I suppose it is just that one.

I ended up only submitting that "missing" IRP5. Called them after the 21 days to follow up. Assessment accepted without any changes. 25k in my account the next day. Smiles all around as I was on holiday in the Eastern Cape.

Submitted documents on 8 July. Phoned them now again, was told to open a formal query next week if I hear nothing from them this week.

Phoned SARS just now - apparently they are waiting on a PAYE recon from my previous employer before my return will be complete.

I have the same problem, waiting for my IRP5 from my previous employer and don't see any data from my previous employer on E-Filing.

I got my IRP5 from previous employer - but apparently they haven't submitted an PAYE recon yet.

Just annoying that I no longer work there but am still being stuffed around by them.

My wife was doing part-time work in 2010 at a pharmacy. It seems they did not issue an IRP5 for that period and SARS also wants it now.

My wife has the same problem (never got IRP5 from previous employer). The company in question no longer exists. Any idea on how to get this sorted with them?

I haven't been paid yet so giving them a call now. Currently nr 161 in the queue. :(

The queue goes pretty quickly.

My biggest issue with that call centre is all the IVR hoops you need to jump through to eventually get to an agent.

I got through, verified my details and then my phone stopped working! Oh the horror! The cable wasn't plugged in properly at the back of the phone. I wonder if the lady will phone me back. Otherwise I'll try again tomorrow.

so im a first timer...submitted 2013,2014,2015 on the 12th at the branch and was told by the consultant that I will be audited...its abit annoying when you do it at the branch since you constantly have to be phoning the call centre to find out the status of your assessment whereas when you submit online you can see your status on efiling...whats worrying is that every agent that I call gives me different stories 4 of them told me that its with the auditors and theres no documention outstanding at the moment and 2 of them told me that I owe them irps5 and tax certificates which is confusing because when I took all of those documents to the branch they told me they don't need it as its already on the system #confused #stressed #advice?

Have they registered you for e-filling while at the branch?

If so you can check the status on e-filling. If not, register yourself. All your submissions you handed in should be on there then.

i am registered with e-filing it says filed through a different path as my sars e-filing status and the sars status says notice of assessment as been sent to email which was on the 12th...but when i phoned sars they say the auditors are busy with it so im guessing the status isn't updating since i didn't use efiling....if there is any documents that the auditors require will it be in the efiling inbox?

When was this all done? The 12th of August?

Give it time till around the 12th of September. Normally takes 1 month.
