Please note that your return cannot be processed immediately due to an outstanding Tax Directive. Therefore, manual intervention is required. SARS will advise you as soon as your return has been assessed. LUMP SUM DECLARED BUT DIRECTIVE OUTSTANDING. Sigh the oke in the call center says i must come in but some how i think he is speaking nonsense. The message above doesnt stipulate that.
 
To people waiting for Satrix Unit Trust tax certificates, the idiots will send in out mid July hopefully. I just roughly worked out my miniscule amount from my statements for my return.

I received my certificate via email in beginning of June from Satrix. Just login into your portal and download your certificate.

OK, let me fix my post, it's for unit trusts, there is no portal, yet, if ever. The idiots moved over to a new platform/system end last year and that's supposedly the reason...
 
Just submitted my first return.

My refund will be paid tomorrow based on the statement of account that I just pulled.

On your income tax works page, there is an option to request documentation/notice or something along those lines.
Click that and then select statement of account, and it will generate it for you.

Top tip!

On the work page, select "Request historic notice"

On the next screen select:

Hit next and it pops up.

Thereafter it will appear on your work page as:

You shouldn't need to calculate anything. You should have received the values from the financial entity that processed the transactions.

Even so as the back bone of the South African economy maybe there is special treatment for them.

I got one random one via email, but the other two I needed to manually fetch from the portal as well.
