SARS E-Filing 2021/22

Heard over radio some weeks ago theres a problem with auto assesments, in my case it was partially auto.
The system sampled my IRP5 which is the most complicated sample perfectly, but only partially sampled the medical aid info.
Now Auto should be Auto, or what is the point, it is misleading. I can understand if I suddenly has an extra income, but if it already sample from an institutution, why is that not 100% done, after all, all these institutions has by now the most expensive IT systems man can find, especially SARS, theres no excuse from the digital world man.

Submitted all the docs that they requested for audit, get another letter saying that I didn't submit what was required. Yet everything that is submitted is what was entered on the return.

Just double check what year they're asking for, something similar happened to me but the request was for 2021.

You know a couple of years ago similar miscommunications happenned and thats when I found it interesting to note that theres a real physical SARS AND the E-Filing SARS. How do I think this=I have two cellphone numbers to them, the one to the real sars and the other regestered to E-Filing. I then received different messages towards these phones at different dates/times dealing with Real SARS office & e-Filing, which I found interesting in the sense of "disconnect" to each other. I thought this was interesting to be possible. If it was not for the two phones I just would never known, so they in my opinion was not very well "syncronised", dont know how many weeks the delay could have been.
Don't know if this still excists currently.

So SARS sent me a notice to say that I submitted my Tax Return late and I have to pay a penalty fee of R250.

When I check on my Return page it shows that I submitted my Tax Return on 11 July and supporting documents were submitted on 12 July. I have not heard anything since from SARS.

Has anyone else received a similar notice? Should I just dispute or am I liable to pay the penalty fee?

EDIT: Trying to make payment via the eFiling website just informs me that there is no outstanding balance to pay. LOL.

Did SARS list the penalty on your ITA34?

Seeing all the state institutions had failed(In news every day), the worst possible thing that can hit us is if this institution starts to fail.

I received another request from SARS to confirm my banking details. I resent it again , 4th time now. The only difference is today they sent me a PIN to confirm the transaction. I have refund due, the date "paid" was 17/07, but it shows returned on my SOA. Still shows original amount due. Let's see.

Not at all. Triple Checked this and it still only shows the original amount that SARS owes me.
No penalty fee listed.
Could be a bug in their system. All admin penalties should be listed on the ITA34 or you won’t be able to object to the amount.

A few years back I had this problem about banking details. I changed my town, same bank, same account number. They did not indicate they want the banking details from the bank...
I kept on sending all the other documents. Phones Call Centre, they say it may just be the banking details I need to visit branch.
I had to visit a branch with banking details and they sorted it out quickly, the E-Filing way failed me here.

Let's see. This was the 1st time they sent a PIN and confirmed that update was received after hitting the submit button. I wanted a branch appointment, but can only do it telephonically.
