There won't be any difference because local dividends already have dividends withholding tax taken off, so the net affect to my tax refund should be zero. But yes, if your auto-assessment is wrong and the missing info results in you having paid too little tax you will have to pay back part or all of the refund plus any extra to make up the difference. Likewise if your auto-assessment results in a refund that is too little because your return is missing certain deductions then SARS will issue a second refund to make up the difference once you correct your return.

I have the same. I did a return and then they uploaded the auto assessment. My original return shows as "Closed due to submission received". My guess is they closed any open returns when they uploaded the auto assessment

Anyone have an issue where their bank details show the account number but no bank name. Never had his issue before as this was filled in previous years

Yeah I did.

There's a little box at the top of that section where you can re-declare your bank account details.

Search for posts from me earlier in the thread and you'll find instructions from someone else near my post.

This will probably put a blocker on the account which will lead to scheduling a meeting with them. ID, Proof of residence, stamped statements. Been there done that before, but was with a new bank account

I'm providing the same bank details that they have on record. It's just that the bank name wasn't showing for some reason. It worked.
