SARS eFiling 2023/2024

How does one claim for out of pocket medical expenses if one does not have medical aid
 
Auto assessed with a decent chunk coming back my way. It says payment due date:
Payment Due date: 2024-08-01

Hopefully I get it before then

Highly unlikely it will be then, probably just need to refresh it later today and you'll see a new date.

I'm yet to receive my auto-assessment.
 
My son got his auto assessement notice yesterday with a few rands due to him. No verification selected.

Today he received a message to update his bank details before payout. Can he update via e-filing or does this require a visit to a SARS branch?
 
Got auto assessed and the usual amount but I re-filed on e-filing including my out of pocket dental costs being almost R90k and submitted the doc's and invoices/proof of payment and now I wait and see.

Off topic, I have an extended family member that replaces teeth. Says with family discount it's about R35k to R45k for 1 tooth. Normal price R70k+.

The guy does lots of "privates" and has SARS breathing down his neck.
 
Once i get here, is there anything else to do? or do i now just wait for my mid-year bonus?

How did you re-file? What is the process? I am traveling and got auto-assessed. I opened to check and it’s already generated an outcome but I also have a chunk of out of pocket medical bills to submit and I wanted to get the solar panels refund. So kindly share the step by step way of refiling.

Did you use the SARS tool to see if you are auto assessed or not? On efilling it showed I must wait till 15th, but they auto assesed me today

I just checked on the app and it said the 15th

Just out of curiosity, in what quarter of the alphabet does the first letter of your surname fall?
