Anybody use TaxTim before? Is it worth it or just do it yourself?
I just saw them as an option when you download your tax stuff from EasyEquities.

How do you register for tax if you are not living in SA? To register they only accept SA cell numbers for the OTP.

Any hack around this?

Depends how complex it is. For the average person where the financial providers send your numbers to SARS, it's a waste of money...

Rather find a reasonably priced tax practitioner, might cost a bit more but the future tax planning advice they can give you is worth way more than TaxTim.

Couldn't find my 2026 return earlier and the SARS website is doing what the SARS website does when the tax season opens, fall over...

Did my return, now trying to log in to view assessment. No go. The HintField for the OTP is missing and im just being bombarded with OTP's now.

I was getting similar except no OTP's sent to my email as they normally would be.

Requested my return last night and completed it this morning before submitting. As usual I was selected for verification, but I had all the requested documentation on hand. Submitted that and now it is 21 days of waiting.
