Why do they continue to waste money on costly admin heavy taxation methods?
It would be a lot simpler to scrap income tax in favour of VAT only.
This ensures minimal loopholes for tax avoidance and is always automatically related to economic activity.
Zero rate essentials - bread, rice, meat etc
15% on general goods ;
20 -> 35% on luxury items
