Agreed, but the reality is that this was a making of the ANC itself over the years in order to gain and keep voters. It was self-inflicted injuries they can no longer cure. So, the reality for South Africa is now to accept a failed state, just as all other African countries have proven, and live with it. Prosperity and financial freedom was never meant for all in any event. No matter the type of government.

In a way I almost envy the informal economy in South Africa. It's a fascinating chaotic economic experiment in how people thrive and succeed below the radar of their parasitic governments. I mean, so what if they don't pay any tax, good on them for getting one over the man.

Most of them are too busy ordering takeout meals and watching entertainment.

It's called agorism. It's where we need to get to. No government involvement = a truly free market.

Here is the one big thing the ANC never thought would have happened. Never even crossed their minds. While establishing a free, cheap lifestyle and free market for their voters, thinking they will keep taxing the middle class White, Coloured and Indian people of the country, they never thought these people would get poorer and flee the country leaving them with nothing. Only a deurmekaar SARS that is looking for money and finding nothing. Cronies with less income and a crazy president who wants to put all private business owners in jail for not adhering to AA and BEE.

Taxation in South Africa is coercive extortion. If you do not pay money to the gov, you get thrown in jail by brute force and violence if necessary. It is your money that is taken away to be used at the whims of a few select people, whether you like it or not.

Agorism is the system that I always subscribed to and follow. Trade between friends and family has kept me going after semi-retirement.
