SA's cheapest bank

I have already opened a Capitec bank meself to save that R500/R1000 I find lying around. Eventually I'll move everything away from ABSA to Capitec.

I've been using Standard Bank for the last 3 years or so, using the Achiever Plus package. They charge R131 per month now! Its ridiculous.

I've just moved over to FNB - on a Gold Cheque Account. It costs me R66 per month, and includes Cellphone, Telephone (who actually uses this?), and Internet banking. Alot cheaper - in fact its half the price.

I'm a bit sceptical about Capitec bank. Do they offer Internet and Cellphone banking? This is a must for me. If they do offer it, is there an additional charge?

You pay once off for a token and then no more monthly charges for internet banking....does what I need so I am happy with it.

and yes they have just introduced sms notification on your accounts - you can specify if its for incoming or outgoing transactions and a minimum amount as well.

STD Bank is gone for me. **** all round.
