SAS on HP microserver

It should work, although the image on that page is not for that card. You'll just need to install the low profile bracket, it should come with the card but you can double check with Firstshop.

If I may ask why do you need to add a SAS drive?

I have a drive that i would like to test if its faulty or not.....so dont wanna spend too much money on a controller .

Doesn't the Microserver already have a SAS interface? It is just connected to a 4-port SAS-SATA splitter, AFAIK?

[EDIT} My mistake, I was thinking of the N36L which had a SAS-SATA spliter. Apparently the Gen8 is SATA only.

I have an Adaptec 1220SA someone can have for free. PM me if you interested, note there isn't official Windows 10 drivers and I'm not sure if the Win7 drivers work under comparability mode.
