Just saw some video on the SABC2 news of the rioters (hundreds of them) stripping a liquor store and hardware store bare and trying to push a ATM over with a hijacked truck.

Barbarians...

And I have friends that stay there, pretty worried.

Apparently its because goverment want to integrate two municipalities. Had a meeting or somethign about it yesterday morning and then they started rioting when the meeting was over.

The rioters are most likely ANC supporters, so don't know what their issue is, they made their bed and must lie in it. Most likely just an excuse to misbehave and steal...

You're worried? How do you think we feel whom is staying in Sasolburg! The CBD is in absolute chaos! Shop windows broken, signage pulled of, traffic signs poles broken right of! Trash cans strewn all over, shops being looted etc. Workers being intimidated not to go to work. As I am typing I just heard sirens in town again, with shots being fired!
