Satellite connectivity coming to iPhone 13 - analyst

Probably more reliable than our cell towers as there is no way Sipho and his gang are gonna go up there to loot those batteries. Not affected by load shedding either
Will there be a delay in conversation?
What is the speed like?
2 second delay?

It will be disabled in SA like the privacy relay.

No, that's a brand of phone. Do any Samsung/Sony/LG phones do this, or only the ruggedized versions like this?
My thought exactly. No mainstream phone has it.

Clutching at straws trying to convince people that Thuraya is a mainstream device.

Dumbass.

7 people in the world own this and it likely received Android updates for 12 minutes after purchase.
Nobody cares about a niche device like this, in the context of the article.
Lol as noted above they'll need a bigger antenna so the article is pulling at straws. Apple is most likely going to launch a ruggedized satellite iPhone and claim it as a world first.

It will be a world first for Apple, given they haven't done it before.

Your fanboyism betrays your idiocy unfortunately :(

I meant satellite phones need bigger antennas than cellular phones.
I think you're right
Check this out
You can see in 2 of the photos the antenna is much longer.
Maybe the short stubby unscrews and you insert a longer one for more DB when you need the satellite function?
