So this year the SAX Appeal team was taken over by a bunch of progressives and they have turned the mag into a political commentry mag rather than satire with all the terms we love: 'cis-het' 'white privelage' 'white tears' 'black pain' etc. etc.

They have also banned people from dressing up erotically because that is somehow "appropriating the lived realities of sex workers".

Its on sale today and I was just wondering what the forumites in CT have been making of it?

From what I saw this morning, some peeps definitely didn't get the memo :o

Yeah, I have seen some pictures and the 'progressives' aren't liking it.

But then the people who have got the memo are just wearing normal clothes...so stupid.

2016 Sax Appeal

Did anyone stump up money for this disgustingly racist, SJW-written piece of s**t? One of my coworkers did, and here're some of the article titles:

"Dear White Boys(tm)"
"Sexual Harassment on Our Campuses"
"Violent Masculinities in Protest Spaces"
"Dress to Oppress"
"The Decolonial Sex Project"
"Ableism"
"Rhodes' Shadow"
"Apartheid in the Middle East"
"Black Tax"
"White Pain For Sale"
"Your Forgotten Privilege"

Congratulations UCT, you're no longer a world class institution, except for the fact that you turn out world-class idiots.

I've bought one the last few years and it's usually a laugh. On the way in this morning I missed them at every intersection despite wanting to get one. Glad I didn't miss anything. I'm so tired of this racist / SJW / whatever stuff now I really don't need a whole magazine full of it. Would rather just have penis jokes.

I'll only say this: the only times I have EVER spent money on this useless magazine was when scantily clad hotties were the ones selling it, I predict a severe drop in sales if the dress code changes :D

Whats funny is that not only are they getting criticisms from us but they are being absolutely blasted by the likes of RMF even though they are the type of people this publication seeks to pander to.

Its amazing to see these movements starting to implode and gobble themselves up through their own self-righteous moral superiority.

I think it's all to the good primarily because it causes ordinary people to become even more jaded and bored by the endless miserableness of the SJWs and their neo-racism and absurd notions of CIS-that and CIS-this, whiteness, privilege and "spaces" that they are so obsessed with.

The quality of SAX Appeal has been declining for over a decade now. A magazine that used to let people put their differences aside for a while and laugh together as one, has become a platform for empty-headed SJW activists.

...we want to end the hypersexualised and ignorantly provocative way most people sell the magazine.

The purpose of a themed SAX Appeal is to create a sense of commonality in students' outfits. However, we realise this year's theme is not particularly conducive to dress up attire. For this reason, we've expanded the sales theme to ‘Revolution' and, obviously, this is a highly subjective term.
If you would like to wear a beret and a red shirt, or want to draw on symbols from past revolutions, go for it.

So instead of dressing up like a harmless hooker, much better to look like a Che wannabee. Gotcha.
