Regulars should know by now that discount percentages on Takelot are very misleading and about as real as the Easter bunny.
So as per usual and right on schedule, items on Takelot are marked up dramatically so fictitious black Friday discounts will seem even more irresistible.
Prime example follows:
Here the exact same item, now a staggeringly R4200.00 more expensive, was bought rougly a year ago for R2799.00
Be carefull and don't be fooled by overhyped black friday "discounts" - do your homework and shop around, Takelot is rarely the most affordable option, more reliable yes, but is that reliability worth almost a 70% increase in a year ?

That is a very ridiculous example you found there.

Get the Scrapy extension - takes the guesswork out.

Edit: also don't buy pool pumps at the beginning of summer. 🤦‍♂️

Not the greatest example.. all seasonal items will increase when demand for said item is higher, i.e pool related equipment, ACs etc for summer..

Entirely normal, which is why we add the Scrapy add on for Chrome to see how the prices fluctuate.

1 of the MyBB users here invented it, cant remember his name now, think it is @Razzle1

Just use the buck cheap plugin to check prices and stop mucking around.

Or use Serval Tracker.

Or just stop blaming TAL when the manufacturer sets the price.

Ok, fair point but goeie f0k that kind of an increase in just 1 year is ridiculous and totally unjustifie. Weather by manufacturer or reseller, by providing a platform for these greedy mofomanufactures TAL is complicent in the legalized fraud and misleasding consumers.
