Scheduled Tasks not starting?

As following How To Schedule Tasks in Windows XP

I have scheduled that firefox and task manager are to run on startup, and up until now it works, but lately they haven't been running. I checked the scheduled tasks utility and they are still there, unchanged, so I don't know what would have happen to make it stop working?

Try running the tasks manually - Right click the task -> [Run]

If it is unable to start it will show an error message under below the [Status] column.

Edit the properties of the task & re-enter the relevant password for the account which runs the task.

I agree with Zarathustra. If that doesn't work the delete the task and recreate it.

To manage startup applications I'd rather use something specifically for that, also having something like that helps with removing crap that you don't want starting on it's own.
