Again, totally different markets. Who would want a base model C180 anyway?![]()
People with style, class, money, and probably a house in a nice neighbourhood.
AND milfs.... I forgot the milfs.... very important that.

To all the Type-R haters here: Remeber, the NATURALLY ASPIRATED 2.0l engine of the Type-R, combined with its incredible driving characteristics, might not make it the best straight-line performer. But put it on a twisty track and you'll scarcely be able to keep up in similarly classed cars...![]()
Not really, CAR magazine agrees.
Nope
The test done at Kyalami showed the PGTi was faster in a straight line and slightly slower than the Type R around the track, The Pgti hast the worst suspension and road holding on a standard car compared to all the other cars so its something Honda should be ashamed of!
And Corsa OPC pisses on both of them
But in all honesty, non boosted engines are better in the long run and Honda does know how to make those. While I was very impressed with the VW TSI I am not a fan of blown enigens. Even low pressure ones like the Mercedes Kompressors.
Oh really?? And why is that?
The Corsa OPC is just better, nicer looking, and not as boring as any VW. Plus it has more power but that is irrelevant cause it looks soooo good.
Anyone can fit a turbo and blower to an engine, that is not a skill, but making a naturally aspirated engine that performs well is a skill. One that Honda has.
Turbos are a cheaper way to make power I agree, but it works so well...
Honda and Toyota still cant get it right baring the S2000. Audi has it right with the RS4, BM has it right with the M3's old and new...
How do you mean they 'got it right'? They didn't force induction on the S2000. Toyota's last supercharged corolla was somewhere in the mid 90's from what I can recall, and wasn't available in SA.
The Mugen version of the TypeR was compared to the S2000 on an episode of Fifth gear, and it game out about a second faster on a track test.
As for the Kyalami Polo GTI being only slightly slower than the TypeR: The Polo already has about 10% more torque than the TypeR, doing it at 1800m gives it at least another 10% extra advantage. 20% more Torque should bloody well get you quite a few seconds.
