my download speeds are downloading at the same as yours (38-40kbps) but I am running a 4mb line! don't know why this is happening?
 
WTF - Screamer is just a a very faint whisper on the winds today!!! Seems International links are farked again... :mad: :mad: @Howzit seriously you need to look at why there is almost no difference between the 512 and 384 speeds, plus sort out international!

how has your guys download speeds being wih screamer, last night and today im getting dowload speeds of an outstanding 8kb/s. it only took me 45min to download my e.mail.
please tell me it gets better than this.
 
Support?

Internet connection is terrible. I get ping replies for about 5 seconds, then "destination unreachable" or time-outs for 10 mins.
Have been trying to phone supprt from 7am, it is now 8am. No answer on any of the support numbers and I can't even leave a message as the user's mailbox is full.

Screamer service is OK when it is working, however I experience way too many days of bad/interupted/sporadic connections.

my speeds are fluctuating wildly now from 0 KB to 10KB? What is happening?
I see from the Digichilli thread that their users are experiencing issues as well. Seacom issue?
 
On my tracert as you can see in my posts above, there seems to be a major hiccup at hop 8. Who is on that just says it belongs to Afrinic.... hmmm. We are never going to have decent internet when we have one half arsed company relying on another half arsed company who also relies on a third or fourth or fifth half arsed company to relay bandwidth....

How do we get ours?

1 Telkom - Line to dial to Screamer
2 Screamer - Nat through Wimax product
3 Telkom or BCSnet ??
4 Neotel - to Seacom ?

In your traceroute hops 7 and 8 are probably BCSNet's border gateways, judging by the IP's on either side of them.

As for Screamer Tech help - FAIL

If u can get through, you cant understand the dumbarse on the other end! Screamer - get help line techies that can speak clearly pls and also invest in better quality mics that dont sound like they been shoved down the techies asophagus.... (on route to his arse - what most of the gibirish sounds like - gastro intestinal movements)

This is completely braindead... if I'm reading that right they are utilizing 90/8 and natting it. This will effectively cut their customers off from accessing legitimate IP space owned by the following people:

France Telecom
Opentransit
Orange France
Tele2
UNet NL
Lice Telecomunicaciones (France Telecomms spanish operations)

And a whole bunch of others, these are the major ones I spotted at a first glance

Then you misunderstand how IP works. If you are squating on public IP space then your users won't be able to access any of the hosts that live in that IP space.

RapidShare Premium Stuff

Does anybody have insight into why technically RapidShare Premium stuff wont work on Screamer ADSL Uncapped Account... Even when Screamer is up and working??....

Will this be solved by Public IP's?

It connects and starts and then drops it and looks like it keeps timing out??

Anybody else have similiar experience...
