Screamer WiMax

my international sites have been quicker today compared to the rest of the week.
dunno maybe just my imagination lol ...

Second night of rock-solid connection for me ... not sure what has changed but happy about it.

(excluding a 30 second mishap around 11pm when I assume you were doing your housekeeping)

mmm indeed whatever you guys did seems to have worked.

raided last night and aside from 2 dc's and a little lag here and there my ping didnt go higher than 500. great work guys

last night was also a good night for me.
highest ping i hit was about 600ms but that was for about a min.
then went back to hovering between 300 - 400ms

heck even in Dalaran i was sitting @ 350ms instead of the usuall 450ms

Anyone else have problems tonight? Had quite a few disconnects and it seems that it was the international link .... maybe those striking Telkom folk :/

had 3 disconnects last night. but that was outside of the new 10man instance.
that was between 20:00 and about 10pm last night. after that seemed to calm down.

th new 10man and 5man stuff is pretty cool. replaced about 3 items last night already :D

yeah i dc'ed 2 or 3 times last night and my ping was a bit high as well. but after 10pm things started clearing up again

tbh not to be unexpected really :)
ptch days are usually laggy as hell. plus there bound to be some hotfixes been done etc

Hi Gamers

We have set up a task team to work with some of the better known gaming suppliers and are monitoring their server's performances over the Net and would like you to please PM me a list of your favorite servers that allows ICMp.

Thanks

My connection was also fine after 10pm and this was related to Warcraft. I was running a trace and ping to Google and seeing a lot of disconnects.

Regarding Blizzard's servers for Warcraft: The proxy to the data centre in Frankfurt is 80.239.149.77 but direct access is blocked.

Looks like everything has gone to hell...

Whenever I have a connection problem my friends in Europe seem to ask whether a parrot  has bitten through the cable.

But once again I have been impressed with my connection - it has never been this good :D

had one or 2 disconnects this whole weekend.
figured was just the EU servers giving issues :) could never be my connection :D

Have a small question.

with regards to this ongoing issue with Sentech and Screamer with reagrds to the Frequency been used.

Do i as a screamer client need to be worried about Screamer loosign the spectrum ?

Darksun, i dont know.

All I can say is that a few weeks ago I spoke to them about errors on their website. I seriously suggest some sort of quality controls or checking. Initially, the Screaming bachelor was a 3 gig option, then it went to a 2gig option however, their site initially showed it as a 1 gig offer. Now, the site advertises 6c per MB on the cover page, however, under the data pages, the out of bundle rates are shown as 12c per meg. VERY confusing. I recall some time ago Howzit mentioned that the 6c per meg was for bundles. When i spoke to a lady in their marketing department, she insisted it was 12c per meg.

SOOO confusing.

Screamer, your service sounds great from all the customers on this site. For new/potential customers, you really need to make your website accurate, clear and understandable. Things seem to be updated without any checking.

As an employee I cannot make an official comment which is soooooo frustrating, but none of us, who know what the bottom line is, are running for the hills;)

We have tried to tailor a number of different packages so that our clients have a bigger selection of services and costs.
In a nutshell our basic packages allow clients to pick and choose from various capped and uncapped broadband packages. If our clients go over their capped packages we do not disconnect them but allow them to keep connected paying an out-of-package rate of 12 cents per Mgb.

We then also offer bundled packages for clients who use our voice and data services and because they are bundled their combined charges are lower and work out at between R0.02 per meg on the larger bundles to about R0.07 on the smaller bundles.

Our website had just recently been updated with the bundle figures and our website designer made an error which you pointed out to me and it was rectified that same day and he was whipped.

Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks Howzit :)
