Screamer WiMax

Sorry but what I been hearing today is completely bad practice and unacceptable.

I was currently on a 1mb Screamer Wifi.

I mention to Screamer I was planning to cancel my account 3 months ago but I didnt go through with it, I didnt even send a cancellation form. As far as I am concerned you dont process any cancellation until the client has sent though a cancellation form.

What did Screamer do?

Well they claim I did officially cancel and then I rescubscibed again, which I never did at all.

So what did they do?

Well they cancelled me and when I supposedly resusbscribed again then put me back on a 512kb line and are still charging me for a 1mb.

I was told after I supposedly cancelled that they put more people on my tower so now they cant offer my original speed back.

I been mailing people in Screamer to ask why I was on 512kb when I was originally on 1mb and only to find out today all of this.

I am seriouslly pissed off about this.

Today I am faced with horrible connection issues where I am timming out every few minutes when even browsing sites. Bandwidth issues?

Hi Diegoa
This is not practice for us and if you were overcharged because of an admin error you will definitely be refunded. I will look into it.
We always knew the Screamer network was 100% illegal. As did Screamer. They just opted to lie about it.

Let's see how Screamer spins their way out of this one.

Still waiting for Screamer's clarification' that was promised "within two weeks", a year ago.......which obviously was never going to happen as you cannot 'clarify' illegal activity.

If you examine the records a year ago apparently we did'nt have an agreement with Sentech according to an "official spokesman" for Sentech. Now, apparently, we have an agreement just not a legal one?!?!? Our Management knew it was nonsense a year ago and decided not to comment then and I am sure that they will probably decide not to stoop to comment now as that just gives our competition fuel to want to make comments like this one.

So you won't comment on the agreement, but are you going to change frequency? You're not allowed to use that spectrum anymore, so now what? Can all your WiMax customers expect a visit in the near future for a hardware swap? Everyone going back to WiFi? Or are you hoping that ICASA won't notice?

I could have put money on it that your WUGging jealousy would have forced you to try and create a situation out of this. Dont you read. They wont comment on it because, like a year ago, you were telling them that an agreement doesn't exist and they were going to die and their clients were going to suffer, etc. Now it appears that an agreement actually does exist. Wipe that egg off your face.

Regardless of the legalities.

Latency is great at the moment , downloaded the latest wow patch (6.2GB) with no issues.

Poor little troll. I'll leave you to believe your comments have some sort of relevance to Screamer's clients then?
Still doesn't change the fact that they're using the spectrum illegally (agreement or none)

I am not the one who trolls these forums looking to bring my own little brand of mis-information to the forumites. You are. Once again you make statements, that are complete nonsense, as if they are fact and when proven to be an idiot a year later still can't bring himself to shutup.
There is nothing illegal about Screamers arrangement or they would have been shut down a year ago as you predicted. To the contrary we, the clients, have continued to enjoy some of the cheapest, uncapped broadband around with the best gaming latency going. Even faster than your little WUG.

Sentech unlawfully allowed Screamer Telecoms, a wireless Internet access provider, to use the state-owned company’s spectrum to provide services, its chairman, Quraysh Patel, has alleged.
Thats what Sentech says.

The best gaming latency around?!? I don't know what network you are running on, Playoff, but I haven't had a local ping consistently below 200ms since I started using the service.

Well maybe you should get your connection checked. I am never above 100ms local ping
