Screamer WiMax

No one cares about your nonsense propaganda from Screamer employees.

EVERYONE else has next to zero internet connectivity. But of course, you always do. Well good for you, you can be the last remaining screamer customer.

Are you back on your "If you don't agree with me you must work for the ISP" hobbyhorse.

I thought you had crwaled back into your hole since you didn't backup your previous claims.

Noone wants to hear your constant bleating. Have you PM'd Howzit with your issues??

Backup my previous claims?!?!?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

Are you blind or just completely stupid? Why don't you crawl back under your desk at Screamer and keep quiet dude.

Read the forums, everything I've said has been seconded over and over and over again.

* Screamer are rude
* Screamer are incompetent
* Screamer have dodgy billing practices
* Screamer have worthless support, a helpdesk that goes home at 10pm and never answers their phone on the weekends

Screamer said they'd have public IP addresses for ADSL in November. It only happened 2 days ago.

GEEE How's that for backing up my claims

Oh look, B R O K E N

Seriously, I thought YOU had crawled into your hole after the hundred times you've been busted as a Screamer employee, the hundreds of times your other nonsense about how their support always works for you, and you pay R0 a month for your connection, blah blah blah

Seriously. Stop thinking you're doing yourself or Screamer any favors.

You're a liar. Plain and simple.

Playoff, I have had endless problems since day one, I not had a solid week of usable internet, its either timing out, disconnecting or with high latency. If I had another Wimax choice I would be canceling my Screamer account right now :P. I just hope Telkom comes to the party soon with their new VoBB offering with their Wimax.

I have tracked pathpings on daily basis and its just too unstable something is clearly broken. Mailing them the pathpings doesn't make any effect.

I better off sticking with iBurst for now, their connection for me is rock solid since day one I signed up with them :)

How come your connection is fine? :mad:

Well mine is still the same as Friday , dead.

Google:
Code:
Ping statistics for 209.85.229.99:
    Packets: Sent = 66, Received = 37, Lost = 29 (43% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 268ms, Maximum = 400ms, Average = 304ms

To this fourm:
Code:
Ping statistics for 41.203.21.136:
    Packets: Sent = 24, Received = 12, Lost = 12 (50% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 80ms, Maximum = 191ms, Average = 115ms

Well i got 60% packet loss since friday. Last straw for me, i'm going with MTN from Monday. I had the joy of using one their wireless solutions this weekend. Yes it costs a crap load more BUT it works ! I raided ICC with average lat of 350 and dc'd once in a 16 hour period of connectivity. If a cellular company can provide such a rock solid product / solution with "older" technology what is Screamers excuse ???

As for you guys who are struggling and becoming / are frustrated with screamer, do yourselves a favour and go check out what MTN has to offer if you can afford to spend R300 - R400 on what you are currently paying (yes i am generalising badly here, obviously cost will be determined by usage).

Problems since Friday...

I take it that you are on Screamer WiMax (hence the post in this sub)
I had mine installed on Friday and am happier than a pig in ****...

What exactly is wrong with yours? (just asking so that I can see if mine is doing the same)
Mine has MAX 2% packet loss on tests I've been running to my servers in USA and Germany.

Well just as an example ,

If you open up Command Prompt and try to ping www.google.com i get this since friday:

Code:
Pinging www.l.google.com [74.125.95.104] with 32 bytes of data:

Ping statistics for 74.125.95.104:
 Packets: Sent = 148, Received = 83, Lost = 65 (43% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
 Minimum = 352ms, Maximum = 580ms, Average = 373ms

Same with any site even this forum.

Code:
Ping statistics for 41.203.21.136:
Packets: Sent = 29, Received = 17, Lost = 12 (41% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 69ms, Maximum = 143ms, Average = 95ms

The server im trying to proxy through to game on :

Code:
Ping statistics for 213.175.194.144:
Packets: Sent = 43, Received = 28, Lost = 15 (34% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 258ms, Maximum = 328ms, Average = 281ms

Hope you can understand what 34% loss does to gaming?

My signal is 95% so its definitely not that issue again.

"cyPHunk" insane packet loss, empty promises, bad service and extremely poor billing practices are my EXACT problems with Screamer. I appreciate your enthusiasm being a new customer with Screamer. I felt the same way the first time it was installed. Do yourself a favour and read back on this thread, you will see i'm not alone in my experiences. If the solution works for you, i'm truly happy for you. Somehow i highly doubt your "good" experience will last long. As i said, read back on this thread for conclusive proof.

You'll be whining like one soon enough. As soon as they've got their claws in your bank account, your service will be worse than pig ****.

Well I finally got a technician out to my house to fix all of my Screamer issues. Pity it was a Telkom technician installing Wimax, I wil lbe cancelling my Screamer account shortly.

I'd just like to say a huge thanks to Howzit as he has been the only shining light for Screamer over the past 12 months, it's a pity they don't have more people like him.

Good luck to all those using or planning to use Screamer, I hope they get their problems sorted.

How do you actually convince Telkom to install WiMAX? Do you have to go to a branch?

Okay so off the phone with support ,

Apparently i need to define my dns to : 172.17.0.159 / 161

Could anyone test this to see if it helps while im at the office and not at home?

Yeah because DNS has such a huge effect on packet loss.

Just tell the support person he's a *****ing moron and to stop giving you stupid excuses.

Careful, howzit might come online as Playoff and start insulting you..
(Like all those times, I get an email saying that Playoff has posted something official looking, then I come in here, see the post has been deleted and howzit has posted the exact same thing. How embarrassing.)

Weird thing is , its like the first time they've heard of someone with this issue :/

Same as the other guys saying their connections are fine :?

So what would be the best way to get them to revert us back to the neotel upstream?

Are you also on the Kyalami tower?
